A lifelong member of American Legion Post 1682 in New City, N.Y., Vincent J. “Jim” Troiola served in the U.S. Navy.
He has held various positions at every level of The American Legion, including service as Department Commander for 2010-2011 and as National Vice Commander for 2016-2017. He chaired the New York American Legion Centennial Task Force for the Future and has been a member of the faculty of The American Legion College of New York.
At the national level, Jim chaired the Veterans Employment and Education Committee and the National Legislative Commission and served on the Membership and Post Activities Committee, National Security Commission, and the Committee on Children and Youth.
Jim and Saveria, his wife of 46 years, have two children and three grandchildren who make up three generations of Auxiliary members and one member of the Sons of the American Legion.
